  • Location: A picturesque stone built watermill on the edge of the hamlet of Llanrhian and adjacent to Glowty'r Felin, both together they can accommodate 8 + 2 cots.
  • Facilities:Holiday in a piece of living history – forget the coffee table book as a talking point! This unique and tasteful conversion provides exceptional living accommodation whilst retaining the original milling machinery, back-lit in its working location behind glass panneled partitioning in the living room and bedroom (see photos below).
 
  • Living area/Dining area:accessed via a large double door from the patio area. Heavy, original beamed ceiling and slate slab floor. One wall comprises heavy original beams and inset safety glass behind which the lower half of the mill machinery and grind stones. The machinery can be lit if required. Furnished with one two seater and one three seater settee, wood burning stove, rugs, TV., DVD., CD player. Dining area with table seating four.

  • Kitchen: Slate slab floor, Fully fitted and equipped with full size 4 ring electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, iron, ironing board and a full set of crockery, cutlery and glass. (Utility has washing machine and tumble dryer)
  • Bedrooms: Two: Both upstairs, One double (4'6” x 6'3” bed), clothes storage, high pitched ceilings open to the eaves with large wooden trusses. External door with access to the 'ramp' the original entry for the grain. One twin (two 3' x 6'3” beds) One wall being again heavy original beams and inset safety glass behind which the upper half of the mill machinery and load hoppers The machinery can be lit if required.

  • Bathrooms: Two One adjacent to the bedrooms, fully tiled with pressurised shower, wash basin and w.c. One downstairs adjacent to laundry room (automatic washing machine and tumble dryer) fully tiled with bath and overhead pressurised shower, wash basin and w.c.
 
  • Externally:large fenced patio, patio furniture and barbecue area view over the tail race and stream to the village.

Mill furniture – consist of, on each of the units, a tun, horse, shoe, damsel and hopper – the whole to ensure an even feed of the grain to the stones.

The last Miller, Willie Jenkins (left) and Robert Rees just after repairing the village pump during a drought in the early 1970s. The pump is still in existence adjacent to Melin Llanrian.
